Exactly.  Everyone in Southern California pretty much knows Disneyland is
in
Anaheim, but try getting there without road signs.  One could drive around
for a while before stumbling upon it.  This is pretty much the same thing.

She knows the general direction, but needs the 3 stars and a comet near a
gas giant to know she's right next to it.  Then it turns from star hopping
to planet hopping.
