dude you are soooooooo wrong about Lost. Sure they can still screw it
up. I dont have a crystal ball. But three points.
1.X Files toggled a main story line (ufo mythology) with what they
called MOTW (monster of the week) stand alone stories, Lost is a
continuous thread (albeit they overdue backstory flashbacks)
2.Lost was NOT supposed to wrap it up last year, whoever told you that
is very misinformed.
3.Lost is unique in television history. Never before has a show been
announced three years in advance exactly when it will end. This gives
them a unique op****tunity to plan the storyline and conclude it. A
unique op****tunity to avoid doing what X Files did. As I said, sure
they can blow it and do it wrong, but give them a chance. Lost is the
Anti-X-Files!

I was actually beginning to get frustrated with Lost and the
announcement that they would have 48 (now 45 because of the strike)
more episodes ending May 2010 has renewed my excitement.

Youre equation of the two is dead wrong.
