He doesn't. He's imagining it very strongly (or he's is projecting and
hasn't quite got the hang of it yet)...Same with  Tigh in the first ep
this season when he   imagines he shoots Adama. It's a strong inner fear.
He fears that's what he will do if he can't control his programming. Tyrol
is afraid that Adama knows the truth about him- I took it as a filmed
device to show what they are thinking and feeling inside. Better filmaking
than having him say to someone, " gosh, I am scared that Adama knows that
I am a Cylon and have a hybrid baby and I feel pretty disgusted with
myself for being that too.." That scene , as it was , conveyed both those
emotions well and dramatically. 

But I could be convinced otherwise.
