When was this?  You're not talking about the Bush-National Guard story,
are
you?  CBS didn't make that up.  Someone handed them that story, and it
seemed real enough.  They thought they'd found the smoking gun to the
story
everyone knows to be true.  Dan Rather didn't make it up; his producer
didn't make it up.  If it's made up, it's made up outside their
organization.  

And please shere what other stories you've heard about them that suggest
they created fiction.
