That's exactly my point.  Dharma is doing some bizarre shit for no 
understandable reason that puts a lot of people's lives in danger.  The 
"Others" think gas warfare is no big deal.  Widmore doesn't seem to have
any 
problem with "kill 'em all and I don't care if anyone sorts them out".  No

one who is voluntarily associated with the Island seems to care about the 
interests of anyone but their individual selves.
