Yeah, I wondered what was up with that.  I thought maybe he was alive at 
the end, but it was hard to tell.

I also wondered exactly how they were going to terraform the planet so 
it was good for both humans and Hath . . . as well as what they build 
their buildings out of that they can survive the terraforming process 
when the surface of the planet itself cannot.  That should have 
unearthed the gill man as well, who should just be standing on the 
bottom going 'hello?  hello?' not to mention how they managed to kill 
everybody in every generation fast enough to get the story wrong in a 
week.  I'd have preferred it if the clones only lived a few hours and 
they kept making clones from other clone and got the 'chinese whispers' 
from signal degredation or something.  If they all get programmed from 
the original source, you'd think they'd all get it right.

Also, were the Hath dying and using this same process as well?  They 
seemed to thing the source was mystical too, but it was hard to tell.  
And do all the clones reverse gender and look nothing like the original?  
Would the next generation of the boss have been reasonable?  Do they 
make the next generation of the boss while he's still alive, or stick 
his dead hand in the box?  Why aren't there multiples of people; they 
said they could make a whole platoon from the Doctor.
