There is a lot of crap out there that no publisher would have allowed
for anyone but a proven bestselling author.
Martin is heading into Jordan territory, but it might have been vital
for him to do so, just to get the story back under some sort of
control. Now, maybe, he'll get on with it again.
The next book will be the decider. Or, perhaps in fairness, the one
after that.
I can't see him writing a "final volume" to the series in two
installments, at least. That would be way too difficult to pull off.
Although, if he could do it, it would be hella cool.
