Some things never change, as... I don't (say that).

All those people saying 'my life was changed here/by this', I had been  
thinking 'not me', too. But that's not true. The books started my  
allergy to female characters as well as supposed Good Guys not  
cooperating. It's now at the point that there isn't a story on the  
shelves in the bookstore that I would enjoy reading, so I'm left to  
write my own if I want to read any stories at all.

I don't think starting such a overwhelming distaste for the main  
features of published books is something to be grateful for.
