There are plenty of angreal, sa'angreal, and ter'angreal that could be
used as artifacts. Many memorable characters, as well. I'd like to
battle Egwene in Gehennom, for example.
Perhaps the DevTeam could incorporate elements from the Wheel of Time in
the next NetHack version, when it sees release in 2025.
