Hey I got a response!!
Anyway, Robert Jordon specifically said that Rand contains one soul at
a book signing.
Q:The question is, with Rand and LTT, do they have 1 soul or 2
souls in the body?
A: They have 1 soul with 2 personalities. The reincarnation of
souls does not mean reincarnation of personalities. The personality
develops with each reincarnation of the soul. This is the cosmology
that I [cobbled] together.
That personality had to have developed somehow. And I do not think it
is directly related to the taint on saidin.
To explain away the forsaken, only Ishy and Rahvin enter T'A'R
physically in the books as I remember, and Rahvin only to try to
defeat Rand. Ishy was obviously insane, and barely human at best.
Possibly some other forsaken did... I seem to remember Demandred doing
it once and maybe Sammeal, but most of them just dream themselves
in. Regardless of anything, all of the forsaken claim many times
that they are no longer human, that they are more then human. Isn't
it possible that they are less then human due to losing some humanity
in T'A'R, among many other things.
Another thing, when Rand brought Verin, Mat, Perrin, and the other
horn hunters to Toman Head they had that crazy different lives
sequence. Rand did not hear the voice of LTT in those lives as I
remember, despite channeling. He know he was the Dragon in any of
those, nor did he go into T'A'R.
Rand did not show immediate effects to traveling in T'A'R physically,
so why should Egwene? Perhaps she has effects yet to show, or perhaps
the effects from only one trip are far more subtle for one who is not
Ta'veran and specifically the reborn soul of an entity that still
likely resides in T'A'R. Egwene did change drastically from the time
she left the waste to the time she became Amyrlin, she almost seems
like a different character.
> At any rate, it is because he has LTTs soul in him. Others went in the
> flesh, as I said, and they don't hear voices.
