I always thought that was one of those prophecies open to multiple
interpretation. Both Mantear and Trakand are crucial to Tarmon
Gai'don. Mantear (is that what that house name was?) as the genesis
of Rand, and Trakand as the birthing of a nation close to the Dragon,
ready, willing, and able to throw its sup****t behind him, despite
misgivings and mistrust of the populace at large. And hell, if
Morgase isn't queen in tEotW, who knows how things may have progressed?
