I thought so too (Egwene's dreams predicting a Seanchan invasion of Tar
Valon), but there is one other possibility. What if the Seanchan attack
Tar Valon as a raid, to retrieve the Horn of Valere on Mat's orders? If
the Last Battle is imminent, then the Horn would be needed as quickly as
possible.
It will be interesting to see what the new writer comes up with, to fill
in the gaps in RJ's notes and written material.
