I take issue with this. If swearing your sould to the DO gave you
protection from the taint, surely after the breaking there would have
been hundreds of male DF channelers milling around taint free and
ready for action.

I think the protection only extends to the Forsaken. I forget, are we
missing any of them? Could Taim be a reincarnated Forsaken?
