EotW: end of a particularly harsh and long winter. Ends with the
overnight arrival of Spring
TGH: Spring, Summer, and Autumn (courtesy of the Rand and co's Wacky

TDR: starts at the tail end of Winter - 1 year. Ends I believe in
Spring
TSR: It's hot in Tear, Marin al'Vere refers to the heat in the Two
Rivers, I think we're in Summer
TFoH: On the return from the Waste, there's mention of how it's hotter
than its meant to be for 'this time of year' - I think it's Autumn
given nobody's panicking about WHERE'S THE SNOWZ??!?
LoC: Meant at the very least to be Winter. People have twigged that
the DO is responsible.
CoS: Still meant to be Winter.
PoD: Meant to be in 'Winter's Heart', Bowl is used, world races to
catch up, going from Summer heat to Winter snows in a matter of days/
weeks
WH: Probably still meant to be in Winter, not sure if the world
catches up enough to continue with seasons in their appropriate
months.
CoT: I'd say we're near the end of winter - bloody hell, 5 books? - 2
years
KoD: Lots of mention of Spring rains, mud etc.
Based on my guestimates, I'd say just over 2 years have passed.

Without checking my EotW publi****ng date (which I think is 1991), I'd
say 13 years (KoD was 2005).

Morgase needs to be old enough to have a 22(?) year old son (Gawyn),
while too young for Galad to be her son. I'd guesstimate is about
40. Lini says Morgase was still playing with dolls when Tallanvor
came along, 'and thinking babes came the same way as dolls', so she'd
have been less than pubescent. I'm gonna guess 'young' Tallanvor's
about 30.

Because I want to find out how the bloody thing ends! And despite the
annoyances, RJ's writing style never failed to keep me entertained.
It wasn't until after I'd plowed through CoT I found myself feeling
cheated.
