I've had people vigorously defend the liklihood of FTL on this 
group; anyone who thinks it likely should be able to explain 
what he thinks about the speed limit question and Fermi's 
paradox. If FTL is fantasy, my question becomes moot, except I 
suppose in connection with constructing scifi universes where 
there are, or are not, aliens. If Andrew is keen to relate 
this to science fiction, he is welcome to grab that ball and 
run with it.
