Reading...

by lal_al@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Feb 3, 2008 at 08:23 PM

I just finished reading Terry Goodkind's Blood of the Fold. I rate it
a 6. I found the pace slow and uneven. What I found most interesting
was the hero Richard and his attempt at leader****p. I took 3 weeks to
finish this book. I abandoned it, and then started reading it again.
I was thinking about leader****p. I would like to read more SF about
leaders.

I just finished reading Stephen Hawking's Theory of Everything. I
would rate it a 5. This is a collection of essays about cosmology. I
found the essays to be too light and lacking in scientific detail and
mathematics. SH said that there are 1,080 particles in the universe -
I assume that this is an error and what was meant was 10^80. Can
anybody verify?

I just started reading Thomas Friedman's The Worl is Flat. I do not
like the title, but this book is interesting in its study of
globalization. I have already read about a 100 pages, and it will
probably end up an 8.
