The catastrophe is just that the wormholes along the lightlike
loop all close.  Unless you are transiting one at the time or
somesuch, it doesn't seem too horrid a danger.  NAICT.

It's not like the Niven "star gets blowed up good to prevent you"
or Stross "Eschaton blows you up good to prevent you".  Just...
your wormhole are all belong to collapses.

Of course, that'd probably cut off some of the althist ****tals,
but oh well...
