Quite good and vampire focused, even if the lead character isn't a
vampire.
The Candian TV series (shown on Lifetime here in the States) wasn't bad
either

The best of the group, Amazon just ****pped me the mmpb of Book 9 and I can
hardly wait. The TV show, while good, didn't live up to the books.

Getting better, I just finished Book 3 and it really hit its stride in
that
one.

Solid, I really like the world-building they've done in this series, both
Kitty's life and the greater outside world.

I haven't tried these 3 yet.
Another two along these lines:
Simon Green, Nightside series
Kind of a "world within a world" setting. I've only read book 1 but book
2
is waiting on my shelf
Karen Chanse, Touch the Dark
Not as impressed with this series, but I found Book 2 on a used bookstore
run recently and I'll give it another chance.
