Years ago I read a novel about an era when humans had learned to
tele****t without any means of technoology. Tele****tation was limited
to locations they had been previously or could see. There was a
minority of people who could not tele****t and went to sup****t groups
in the hopes of learning. The story focused on one man who could not
tele****t but kept unexplainedly surviving sure death situations,
liking being trapped in a storage locker on a damaged space****p
hundreds of feet from a fresh supply of oxygen and having to
repeatedly go and retrieve a new tank or being locked in a booth, on
fire, with an extinguiser just visible outside the booth. Turns out
that he was capable of tele****ting VAST distances but didn't know how.
Anyway I can't find this book. Anyone have a clue? Jumper reminded me
of this novel just recently and I would love to find a copy.
