It's set in a few cities that are fairly technologically advanced  with 
people doing magical things.  *shrug* I wasn't sure, but I put it in 
anyway.  :-)

I'm sure I'm missing a few more, but I'm still reading a bunch more.
For example, I just got through Ellen Schreiber's _Vampire Kisses_
series - not bad for YA vampire fiction.
