I read a great book some years ago but unfortunately do not remember
the author or title. Maybe if I describe it someone here can help me
out.
The story starts with a recently retired man on a Mediteranean cruise.
It is night and he is on deck watching the stars. One star catches his
eye because it gets bigger and bigger and soon we learn that the star
is really a comet and hits the unfortunate man.
When he regains consciousness, he is in a desert in a lizard man's
body. in time he learns that his new body belonged to a Prince of the
realm who is/was a nasty piece of work. The challenge for our hero is
to learn about who he is supposed to be and to survive and hopefully
show others that he has "changed"
