The Writers Guild Strike and Harlan Ellison

by tphile <tphile@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 15, 2008 at 03:19 PM

So did the writers get what they wanted out of the deal?
I am only a reader and fan so did not follow every detail
or read the agreement.
AFAIK the main issue was getting royalties on internet versions
and online profits on stories. Like the producers and directors do.
Harlan says No and calls it a **** deal among other things

I enjoy reading Harlan, but this post is total rant and bile.
(which is always fun to read) I still don't know the specifics
he is objecting too,
For a diatribe its not very convincing. if Jefferson wrote the
Declaration
like this we would all be singing Rue Britainnia.
What is the good or bad side according to writers who are directly
affected.
For me the bad side has been the delay of new episodes I like,
and the real horror of the return of American Gladiators.
