Is this a good place for a newbie to the site to ask what YASID
means?  I get the idea that if someone remembers a bit of a book, but
not the name, asking for help is a YASID but I can't get the acronym.

I am not active on usenet but one other place I visit (moderated, if
that makes a difference), guidelines are posts guidelines on the 1st
and 15th of each month.  That may not be required here but are there
guidelines, a list of acronyms or the like for this group?
