A Modest Proposal for "An Inconvenient Truth"

WHEREAS: Anthropogenic Global Warming is *established* fact, not open
to discussion or debate

WHEREAS: Mankind does not now, nor for the foreseeable future have the
technology to reverse or even slow the release of CO2 into the
atmosphere.

WHEREAS: Mankind itself seems to be the problem.


RESOLVED: That mankind should immediately implement a carbon tax on
all  children equal to their carbon footprint for an average life
span, payable at birth, and further

RESOLVED: That no human female be allowed to have more than one child
until the human population of the earth has diminished to the
sustainable point. This will have the force of law and enforced by
involuntary sterilization after one child, healthy or not has been
born.

We are all in this together, every newborn  just adds to the problem
and delays the final balancing of this fragile ecosystem. This seems
to be the only *real* solution. We cannot depend on nonexistent
technology to save us and we must stop the rampant over breeding that
has caused this in the first place. In 100 years, the population will
be at most 1/2 of today's in another hundred maybe a 1/3 and then the
rules can be revisited.
