JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A former church pastor in Jacksonville has
pleaded not guilty in a case that accuses him of sending ***ually
explicit text messages to a congregant's teenage daughter.

The girl's mother notified police last November, alleging that she
found obscene text messages on her 14-year-old's cell phone.
Gilyard's attorney says his client is a committed community servant
who's worked hard to build the church, improve neighborhoods and help
at-risk youths.
But this is not the first time Gilyard has had to deal with
accusations of ***ual misconduct.
He resigned his post at a Dallas church in 1991 after re****ts became
known that he slept with church members.
