I don't think those arguments were for _fandom_ running things. The
people who thought things would be better off if they ran things
happened to be fen, the ones who weren't pros but they weren't saying
they wanted all of fandom to be running things.

That would be fine. However, the fact that it hasn't been done, to our
knowledge, does not negate the fact that other people are also a
legitimate target for satire and even derision. UseNet posters, for
instance, could be... Well, it's too horrible to contemplate.
