I may have the wrong series in mind, but if I'm right, in one of the
Anita Blake novels, from Cerulean Sins backward, at some point near the
novel's end, Blake becomes briefly aware of an "awakening" of some kind
of seriously powerful female (?) vampire (?) in a lightless chamber.
Would anyone know in which book this happens, or, if in a different
series (I'm certain it was a book in a series), what that series and
book is? There are a lot of vampire-themed series currently in the
works, so I may have confused one with another, but for whatever reason
I think it's Hamilton's.
