Exactly.
Earlier this week, I received notification that the university provided
NNTP server will go away at some still-undetermined point, but sooner
rather than later. Their reasons are maintenance and that Google does
everything you'd want for newsreading anyhow.
I actually did write them on this one, for only the second time
in my ~20 years here. It will amount to nothing, but I felt they
needed to hear how wrong they were about the Google thing.

P.S. Yes, this means I will be seeking a server-based newsservice
some time "sooner rather than later". If it lets me get back
to using trn, so much the better.
