"Winter Passing," actually, with Ed Harris (and how can you go 
wrong with Ed Harris?) and Zooey Deschanel. Very dark character 
study of a confused, self destructive young woman. Ending isn't 
happy so much as hopeful, and not syrupy all.

As I recall, I avoided that one because the ads made it look like a 
comedy, and it had Ferrel in it. I might have to reconsider. 
(Interestingly, Amazon's review says it's Ferrel's first dramatic 
role, but Winter Passing is a year earlier. While his character 
hast he only funny line in the movie ("If you see Mr. Holdin, tell 
him his balls are clean.", it's hardly a comedic role.)
