	I do have a penguin story but it involves one of my cats. Eddie
had a terrible kittenhood (to the point that at 6 months, he looked like
an old cat about to die of accumulated age and injuries). Whatever
happened
to him prevented him from picking up most normal feline behaviors and
he's a lot more interested in manipulating objects than living animals
[1].
This is a cat who figured out what the toilet was for and how to use it on
his own and who likes to watch cars but who is completely disinterested in
birds and rodents. I've seen him lean to one side to see around a bird on
the window sill so that he could watch cars behind them.

	One way to tell which cat is Eddie is to make a loud noise. The
cat who comes tearing into the room is Eddie.

	So, this is a cat who doesn't hunt, ever, right? 

	When I put on MARCH OF THE PENGUINS he went nuts trying to
catch the penguins. It was like he'd been waiting his whole life to
take down an Emperor Penguin. I don't know how to tell him just how
tall they are. All the other cats were just staring at him as he
stalked the TV images. 

	I'd love to know how a cat who grew up in KW gets a penguin 
mania.



1: His social skills consist of sniff, prod with a paw, nip and run into
at as high a speed as he can get up.

He also has a  weak grasp on what exactly is food. One of the phrases he
understands is "Eddie, that's not food," which will get him to drop
whatever
he is chewing on.
