I saw a "comedy" of that kind last night.  Well, to be fair, not so
much the "put up with" part but the profound stupidity part.  Erk.
Maltin gave <The Court Jester> four stars, but I discovered that 
it's possible to set a musical in a fantasyland, have pretty women
in it, give it a happy ending, and I still hate it.

(With books this kind of surprise is rarer - there are, after all,
neither musicals nor images of pretty women in books - but hmmm, how 
to make this post truly on-topic?  Darn, I'll have to get back to y'all 
on that one...)
