I think you missed my point. When the alleged hapless repairman is 
initially lifting the bricks up to the roof, he weighs enough to do 
so. But when he's lowering them back down, after fini****ng, even 
though there are fewer bricks, he now weighs less than they do.

If a character actually gets hurt, then it's obviously not 
suppopsed to be funny.
