Having read the next Niven and Lerner, I'm in the mood for
something written after 2000 with the same general feel as classic
Known Space (KS up to, oh, THE LONG ARM OF GIL HAMILTON, say).
Because authors are often very like themselves, let's assume
I already know about Niven and leave him off the list of possibles
(Although the previous N&L, which is out and I can talk about it,
is more like classic KS than the last Ringworld book was).
