That's kind of what I like most about PKD. He doesn't take much time
to explain things, he just sort of throws you in to the world he's
designed and you experience it as the characters experience it. This
often leads to to some tough reading, especially early on in some of
his stories (A Scanner Darkly the prime example for me personally),
but by the time it gets "resolved" (a term I use very loosely with
PKD), it's all the more rewarding for it.
