There's a thirty some minute author interview on this week's 
April 1?, 2008) "Tech Nation", a radio program out of the San 
Francisco area that's aired on various public radio stations.

Warning to people in The Slow Zone, there's a 1.13 megabytes of graphics
on their home page.  Mostly pictures of book covers from Amazon.

Tech Nation is kind of like public radio's version of Wired, (people with
low bandwidth need not apply), and borders on entreaporn.  

Peeve #3: The only way to get only one show podcast seems to be require
a full RSS subscription.  (Just gimme a direct link, damn it).

As for _Infected_, well it sounds pretty derivative, like "24", with
diseases ripped off directly from Bujold's _Diplomatic Immunity_ and
Stirling's _The Stone Dogs_ (sp?)  (I'm not gonna bother).  Most of
the interview was about Sigler's salesmanship and being a pioneer in
podcasting book readings.  I wouldn't go as far as to call him a prick,
but self-promotion is a large part of his makeup.
