Hey SF Fans,
I've been going through Leigh Brackett's omnibus collection "Sea-
Kings of Mars" (in the British Fantasy Masterworks series--probably o/
p but cheaply available online), and I am super-impressed with how
well her stories read today. Granted, you have to swallow habitable
Mars/Venus/Mercury, and that could be a "bouncing-off" point for many
readers; but if you simply imagine you're on some unknown planet and
"suspend your disbelief," you will find wonderfully plotted and well-
written s-f adventure yarns.
After all, no one complains about the fallacious science in
Bradbury's "Martian Chronicles," eh?
Best,
CC
