I've wondered about this - not any authors particular beliefs but how it
affects the reader's enjoyment.

I can imagine an author being so personally loathsome that I would not
want
to read or financially sup****t them via book purchases. But they would
have
to be really REALLY bad.

Does reading Mien Kampf or Das Kapital imply sup****t of either author?

In fact in some cases it works in their favour. It can be amusing to pick

out an author's hot-button pet ideas in their fiction.
