Looking from Scifi trilogy from the early 1990s

by BillG <billgower@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 26, 2008 at 09:49 AM

Back in the early 90s I read a trilogy written by I think a Canadian
author. The story begins in the late 1800s in the US where a man
develops a motorized dirigible and travels around the west scaring
people with lights in the sky. Later he develops other aircraft. As
the US govt is closing in on him, he escapes to Europe where he helps
the Nazis create super fast aircraft during the war. He is being
hunted by a US agent and is almost captured by the end of the war but
escapes to South America and then eventually to Anarctica where he
sets up a base and from there he sends UFOs he developed all over the
world piloted by black uniformed drones. Finally he is killed and the
Anarctica complex is destroyed. Anyone know he names of these books
and can they still be found?
