As opposed to the US edition, which was in 6 volumes and exceeded the MMPB
bookbinder's art (or at least *that* company's art) in a different way by 
having the covers fall off before one got done with the first reading of
the
books.  (It does have the advantage that all the pages are (so far) still 
stuck to each other, though.)
