Interesting that it didn't work for you. I tend to agree with you
that I'm a better writer now than I was then, and that the Obsidian
Chronicles are superior to the Ethshar books, but _The Misenchanted
Sword_ remains by far my best-selling novel to date. _Someone_ out
there likes it.
Oh, and no, it wasn't a fix-up, nor was any ****tion of it ever a short
story.
