That did nearly make me drop the book, but I carried on and in the end
I enjoyed Eon considerably.   I also liked "Eternity", though not as
much.

My recollections of "Legacy" are strangely hallucinatory.  I'm not
sure if I read it or only dreamed I read it.  Some interesting scenes
either way, though not  much coherence.
