No, that's continued into the next book, though it may not (yet) come to
the conclusion you foresee.  Possibly a non-obvious twist.  Or at least,
it wasn't obvious to me.  Plus too, there are some subtle points about the
chala bond compared to furycrafting, especially water.  It's clear from
the Aforementioned Scene that the chala bond is doing *some*thing strange.

And remember, he doesn't have to have just *one* fury.
