Humans as pets: Leslie F. Stone, "The Human Pets of Mars", Amazing
Stories, October, 1936. However, the Martians in the story don't take
over the earth, they capture some humans on earth and bring them back
to Mars for use as pets.
Humans as zoo animals on conquered earth: Rog Phillips, "The
Despoilers", Amazing Stories, October, 1947. The alien conquerors
believe they have exterminated us, but they have been fooled by a band
of humans who took off their clothes, let their hair grow, and moved
into a zoo.
