Yes, a phrase like that is used in the novel on several occasions. But
there's also a particular single word. I think it referes to some
ancient superstitious ritual or custom, and I believe it to be Keltic or
Greek, rather than Sanskrit.

I've got mine on the shelf, but I don't relish the thought of having to
skim through all of it. It must be like 500 pages. And even if I do, I
believe I'd have a high chance of overlooking the word, since IIRC it
only occurs once (or at the most twice).
