Thinking about it, it's been much the same for me--I'm slow-witted 
enough to not catch on to the puzzles immediately, and sharp enough to 
figure most of them out a little bit ahead of the full reveal.

The one with the Cane, however, I'm pretty certain I got immediately.  
I'm waiting for paperbacks, however, so I have a while to go before I 
get confirmation.

The one thing I'm most interesting in finding an answer to is how the 
humans on that world got there.  I was initially uncertain whether they 
were natives with a coincidentally Romanesque culture or actual Romans 
transplanted from our world, but at this point all the signs point at 
the latter.
