True. And whether the Marat/Canim/Icemen, etc, are also transplantees,
and if so, why.  I also toy with the notion tat it's an althist where
some event in the middle of Rome's history (or maybe rather late on)
alters the earth, but ...  hm, that one doesn't feel right, despite
naming all the geography with familiar-ish names.
