I don't think he does. Agatha's contact with Krosp was covert,
inside her quarters, till practically the last moment when they
escaped. Quick pause to check the books....
Yes. Punch and Judy knocked Gil out, confronted Klaus, were
slain by von Pinn, and THEN Krosp showed up to lead Agatha and
the hostages to safety (well, relative safety, one they'd shaken
off Othar).
Later on, with the circus, the last we see of Krosp is when he's
running toward Olga's corpse, shouting, "Agatha!", until after
Gil and Bang have come and gone and the Countess has finished
explaining to Agatha that Olga has just given the greatest
performance of her life.
So, no, Gil has never seen Krosp* at all, let alone known about
his connection with Agatha.
*Unless as a kitten in Dr. Dim's lab. But I think the timing's
wrong, and Gil was off at school in Paris until shortly before we
meet him.
Hmmm ... all Sleipnir says is "we haven't seen Gil since he got
back."
But the Secret Blueprints say that "for the last several years Gil
was living under an assumed name in Paris, where he was a student
at the University. When his time at the University ended, he was
brought back to Castle Wulfenbach openly as Klaus' son and heir.
.... *For the last month* Gil has been traveling with his father."
(emphasis mine.) That's not quite the same thing as saying Gil
has only been home a month, but since to be living on the Castle
is to travelling, albeit slowly, it's a likely approximation.
Gil came home because his theoretical studies were over, and for
the last several books Klaus has been putting him through an
extensive lab practical. (It appears he recently passed.)
The Blueprints also say Krosp spent "months of frantic studying"
to learn how to fly an airship, and that he was too short to fly
one. He's also spent some time studying strategy and tactics, as
we've seen. I don't think he and Gil have ever met.
